Project Overview

The goal of this project is to enhance the appeal of a juggler’s performance. The aim of this specific project is to create LED Juggling Balls that will enhance the visual aspect of the performance of a juggler by changing color upon contact with the juggler's hands, and turning red if they hit the ground. These balls, specifically, will be transparent, and each have an Arduino inside, attached to an accelerometer, breadboard, and LED lights. Some challenges that need to be overcome to meet this goal include deciding which type of sensor to use. Also, understanding how to attach this sensor to an Arduino will be a new experience and could create some challenges. The major tasks that need to be accomplished include programming the Arduino to turn the LED lights’ inside of the balls color on being touched, and turning red when the ball hits the ground. Another major task is to assemble the lights and sensors into three translucent balls to create a working prototype.
